Key Responsibilities:
We are working with a Civil Construction company that fulfills a wide range of needs, including constructing temporary roads, drainage and storm water systems, bulk earthworks, and car parks. and Storm Water. We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator based in the Philippines, with extensive experience in commercial construction estimating. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Write up detailed scopes of work and quotes in our job management software
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications.
- Understand and evaluate project logistics and project risks.
- Coordinate with various trades over the phone to discuss pricing and utilize historical data for pricing.
- Prepare comprehensive quotes and proposals based on estimated costs, project scope, and client requirements
- Review preliminary and architectural plans thoroughly
- Conduct regular risk assessments
- Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan
- Analyze project requirements, measurements, and specifications to accurately determine material and labor costs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a construction estimator, with a focus on civil services in Australia.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with the Australian construction industry's standards and regulations.
- Able to work Melbourne hours Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM
- The ability to read and understand construction methods relevant to Australia would be advantageous.
- You may also be required to liaise with our preferred vendors to obtain updated RFQ’s for projects to insert into your estimates.
- Have ample background in construction project management, reviewing construction documents, preparing takeoffs for masonry and concrete projects.
- Prefer with Experience in: Civil works drainage, excavation, Road Construction, Basements, Estimating using mud shark, Plan swift, AutoCAD
- Ability to work independently and meet deadline
- Pays attention to Details.
