Senior Accountant – with AU or US, UK experience
About Us
Join our dynamic team as a Full-Time Senior Accountant and contribute to streamlining financial processes within our growing company. You will play a key role in managing and improving our accounting operations, particularly with AP/AR, P&L, and month-end reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting: Manage daily AP/AR operations and ensure accurate month-end financial reporting.
- Tax Compliance: Handle all aspects of AU taxation and GST, prepare quarterly BAS, and monthly IAS.
- Payroll Management: Process monthly staff payroll and quarterly superannuation contributions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliation of company bank accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Produce accurate monthly and quarterly management reports.
- State Payroll Tax: Lodge monthly, half-yearly, and yearly payroll tax as required by each state.
- Grant Management: Manage the EMDG application process efficiently.
- Payment Processing: Handle fortnightly payments and maintain financial records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Certifications: CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a corporate accounting environment, with hands-on experience in AU, UK, or US accounts.
- Software Proficiency: Extensive experience with Xero and advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel (formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
