Digital Marketing
Assistant
Campaign support, scheduling and reporting across your channels — from $14/hr + GST.
What a Digital Marketing Assistant does
Marketing plans stall on execution. A digital marketing assistant handles the doing — scheduling, building, publishing and reporting — so your campaigns actually go live and get measured.
Every StaffingSolutions.io digital marketing assistant is recruited, hired and managed by us — reference-checked for your tools, working your business hours, and backed by our zero-risk promise: no placement fee, money-back first week, and a free replacement if the fit isn't right.
What they handle
- Campaign support — build and launch.
- Scheduling — content across channels.
- Email & automation — set up and sent.
- Reporting — weekly performance.
- Asset coordination — briefs to publish.
- Data & lists — clean and segmented.
A week in the role
A digital marketing assistant is the execution layer. Campaigns get built, creative gets resized, posts get scheduled to AEST, UTMs get applied so GA4 reports something usable, and the monthly dashboard actually goes out. Strategy, budget and final creative approval stay with the client's marketing lead or agency.
Schedules the approved month into Later, Meta Business Suite or Buffer with captions, first comment, hashtags and AEST posting times, sized correctly for feed, story and reel rather than one image pushed everywhere.
Sets up campaigns from the client's brief — objective, ad sets, saved audiences, lookalikes and exclusions — uploads the creative variants, and duplicates the structure cleanly for the next test rather than editing a live ad set.
Works the search terms report into negative keyword lists, pauses ad groups burning budget with no conversions, keeps sitelinks, callouts and promotion extensions current, and sets ad schedules to when the client's phone is answered.
Applies one consistent UTM naming standard across Meta, Google, Klaviyo, LinkedIn and organic social links so GA4 attributes traffic to the right channel instead of dumping half of it into direct and referral.
Assembles the Looker Studio report from GA4 and the ad platforms — sessions by channel, conversions by landing page, cost per result, assisted conversions — and writes the plain-English commentary on what moved and why.
Constructs sends in Klaviyo or Mailchimp, applies the segment, sets flow triggers and delays for welcome, browse abandonment and post-purchase, runs a test send to the client, and schedules only once approved.
Makes WordPress or Shopify changes — hero swaps, offer and price updates, new testimonials, broken link fixes — and pulls expired promotions off the site before a customer finds one that's three months old.
Takes the one approved concept and produces feed, story, reel cover, EDM header, display banner and print flyer versions from the client's Canva brand kit, keeping fonts, logo lockup and colours consistent.
Monitors comment threads under boosted posts, answers product and price questions, hides scam and spam replies, and escalates complaints so a paid campaign isn't undermined by the conversation happening underneath it.
Posts updates and offers, uploads recent job or product photos, updates trading hours for Australian public holidays before each one, and replies to reviews using the client's approved response wording.
Captures what competitors are currently running — offer, hook, format, landing page — into a shared board the client reviews, and notes when a competitor's long-running ad suddenly changes or disappears.
Uploads drafted articles, sets the meta title and description, adds internal links, compresses and alt-tags images, applies schema where the theme supports it, and submits the URL in Search Console.
Checks the pixel or tag fires, the form lands in the right inbox, the thank-you page loads, links resolve on mobile, and the offer wording, expiry date and terms match what was approved.
