What a Graphic Designer does
A graphic designer keeps your brand looking sharp everywhere — social, web and collateral — turning briefs into polished assets quickly.
Every StaffingSolutions.io graphic designer is recruited, hired and managed by us — reference-checked for your tools, working your business hours, and backed by our zero-risk promise: no placement fee, money-back first week, and a free replacement if the fit isn't right.
What they handle
- Social graphics — on-brand sets.
- Web & landing visuals.
- Collateral — decks, docs, print.
- Ad creative — variants for testing.
- Brand consistency — to your kit.
- Asset management — organised.
A week in the role
Production design, not concept sketching. The week is artwork: a brochure laid out in InDesign, a set of social templates built so anyone can update them, a logo redrawn as vector for a signwriter, and a press PDF checked for bleed before it goes to the printer.
Lays out brochures, capability statements, catalogues and annual reports in InDesign using paragraph and character styles on a master page grid, so a late text change does not break every page after it.
Exports press PDFs to the printer's specification: CMYK, 3mm bleed, crop marks, images at 300ppi, fonts embedded, Pantones named correctly, and a preflight run before anything is sent for quoting.
Redraws supplied logos as clean vector in Illustrator and builds the full file set — mono, reversed, horizontal and stacked lockups in EPS, SVG and PNG — for signwriters, embroiderers and web use.
Builds locked Canva or Figma templates carrying the brand's type, colour and grid so the social manager can swap the image and headline without moving anything that is meant to stay fixed.
Retouches product and team photography in Photoshop: colour correction to match the brand palette, clipping paths and cutouts on white for the online store, and removal of distracting background clutter.
Designs page layouts in Figma at mobile and desktop breakpoints, sets the type scale and spacing, and hands the developer a file with named components, exported assets and stated hex values.
Builds EDM designs within the constraints of Mailchimp, Klaviyo or HubSpot — modular blocks, web-safe type, images sized for retina, and text kept live rather than baked into one graphic that dark mode wrecks.
Prepares vehicle wraps, pull-up banners, site signage and expo walls at scale with correct resolution, safe margins for pole pockets and stand fittings, and files supplied in the format the fabricator asked for.
Sets up label and packaging dieline artwork, places barcodes at readable size, positions mandatory information inside the panel, and supplies a proof for the client and manufacturer to sign off before production.
Produces the guidelines document: logo clear space and minimum size, colour breakdowns in CMYK, RGB, hex and Pantone, type hierarchy, photography direction, and worked examples of correct and incorrect use.
Adapts an approved concept across every placement required — feed, story, display banner sizes, print ad, in-store poster — keeping the hierarchy readable rather than squeezing one layout into each ratio.
Builds branded PowerPoint, Google Slides and Word templates with working master slides and styles, so proposals and reports come out consistent without the designer being pulled in every time a page is added.
